The American Lawyers Quarterly is a directory of law firms which specialize in collections, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy. The ALQ directory has been the definitive source for attorney representation in the collection industry since 1899 (over 120 years). Collections are generally handled by our listed counsel on a contingent fee basis. There are law firm referrals for all cities, county seats, and sizable towns in the United States, Canada, and most commercial centers throughout the world. American Lawyers Company standards have been maintained in accord with all published American Bar Association Rules and Standards for law lists.

Qualified forwarders of collection business have access to an excellent service department which is maintained in our Cleveland office. In the event any questions or problems arise in connection with matters placed with our listees, the facts can be promptly reported to us and we will intercede on your behalf.

Occasionally, attorney representation is needed in an area not covered by one of our listees or where our listed counsel has a conflict of interest. In that instance, we are happy to assist users in locating other representation.

For qualified forwarders, our listees are covered up to $2.0 million through an insurance program underwritten Chubb Insurance Company (see bonding program ).

All of our services are provided free of charge to those who send cases to our listed counsel.
